Webcams Erfurt
Unfortunately, there are not many webcams that give us an insight into the colorful city life of Erfurt. But at least you can find the pictures of the cameras that are currently broadcasting live here.
The Top Webcam in Erfurt
View of the Domplatz and the Severikirche
➚ The first webcam offers the perfect overview of the Erfurt Domplatz. The impressive silhouette of the Dom and Severikirche dominates the image of the camera. Incidentally, the webcam is located in the gable window of the Stadtbibliothek.

This is the most beautiful view of an Erfurt webcam. You have an overview of the entire Domplatz. This webcam has already caught numerous highlights, because there is always something going on at the Domplatz:
You can stroll across the Green Market from Monday to Saturday until 2 pm. Events such as the Domplatz concerts with pop and rock as well as the wine festival attract tens of thousands of visitors.
A special highlight is the Domstufenfestspiele in summer. For this purpose, elaborately and spectacularly changing stage sets are built every year. For webcam enthusiasts, the set-up and dismantling times of the major events are particularly worthwhile. The famous Erfurt Christmas market in the Advent season provides a festive atmosphere at the end of the year with its bright lights.
Webcam 2: View of the Fischmarkt Erfurt
The Fischmarkt webcam has a firm view of the neo-Gothic Erfurt Town Hall. It is mounted in the gable of the art gallery opposite in the Haus zum Roten Ochsen. The Fischmarkt is surrounded by magnificently restored medieval buildings and is a very special meeting place for the people of Erfurt and their guests.

The neo-Gothic town hall of the state capital of Thuringia was built between 1869 and 1875.

What is a webcam?
A webcam is a camera that can be used to record pictures and videos or broadcast them live. The first webcams were developed in the 1990s and were initially only intended for monitoring factories. The pictures taken by a webcam are usually saved as a JPEG file. However, there are now many different types of webcams that can be used for different purposes. Perhaps the most beautiful application is its use in the tourism sector. There are also some webcams in Thuringia, three of which are in the state capital Erfurt.
This is what it looks like, the webcam that overlooks the Erfurt Domplatz. It is located in the gable of the “Zum Goldenen Einhorn” house. This is where the municipal librarians reside over the book inventory of the city library.
