Senior physician Dr. med. Torsten Meinig receives the “Thuringian Rose” for
outstanding commitment to raising awareness about organ donation

Dr. Meinig has been intensively involved in the area of ​​organ donation for many years. As
a transplant representative at the Helios Klinikum Erfurt and an active member of the
Erfurt self-help group of the Thuringia Kidney Association. V. not only looks after

tireless efforts, he informs about the importance of organ donation in schools,
within the medical profession and in the general public.

Groesdonk. “His commitment and dedication are exemplary and contribute significantly
to raising awareness of the life-saving importance of organ donation,”

The “Thuringian Rose” is awarded annually to people who
dedicate themselves exceptionally and with great commitment to voluntary and charitable work. In memory of
Saint Elisabeth, who worked in Thuringia over 800 years ago, the award honors
people who courageously and selflessly work for others. In addition to Dr. Torsten Meinig,
eleven other volunteers received the award.
