Students present audio guides for the Jewish quarter

An audio guide by young people for young people will be presented on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Small Synagogue.

In collaboration with students from the Evangelisches Ratsgymnasium Erfurt, an audio guide was created that leads through the Jewish quarter around the Small and Old Synagogue, Mikveh and the Stone House and makes Jewish life from the Middle Ages to the 19th century audible. The young people researched information, formulated audio guide texts and were finally able to record them themselves in the Radio Frei studio in Erfurt.

After the special exhibition “Inter Judeos” at the Old Synagogue, the project is a further step towards making Jewish life in Erfurt more tangible.

The “Listen” project is a collaboration with the above-mentioned partners as well as the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen and the Thuringian State Media Authority.

Admission to the event is free, but donations are requested. The venue is not barrier-free.
