Let's get started: Register now for the 26th Erfurt Zoo Park Run. Even if September seems a long time away, the Zoo Park Run on September 14th is fast approaching. Registrations are now possible via the newly designed organizer website.
Whether young or old, whether you are a passionate runner or a casual jogger, there is something for all running fans at the Erfurt Zoopark Run: the children's route is 200 or 450 meters long, the children's run is 900 meters long and the school run is 1.3 km. In the everyone's run, 4 km are completed and the main run, for endurance athletes from B-youth upwards, is 10 km long. The 4 km and 10 km routes lead right through the zoo park and have a lot of elevation gain to offer.
Registration for the Zooparklauf run by SSV Erfurt Nord e. V. is possible via the website www.zooparklauf.de. The first 100 registrations will receive a free running shirt. If you are still undecided, you can register spontaneously on race day in the registration office at the Zoopark school by paying a late registration fee.
Anyone who enjoys running can take part in the races. You can run alone, as a family, with a company, with friends but also in a group, as a school class or daycare group. Who has the most participants at school or daycare? School and daycare groups with ten or more participants receive a very special rating and can win a tour of the zoo park.
Speaking of the zoo park: SSV Erfurt Nord e.V. donates one euro of each entry fee. V. to the Thuringian Zoopark Erfurt. 100 percent of the money goes towards building the facility for the red pandas. The red panda, also known as the lesser panda, is endangered; there are fewer than 10,000 animals in its original habitat. By building a facility for the red panda, the Erfurt Zoo Park would like to participate in the European conservation breeding program.
There are still a few weeks to get in shape before the Zoo Park run. With this in mind, it's now time to lace up your running shoes, train and get acquainted with the hilly terrain in Thuringia's Erfurt Zoo Park during one or two visits to the zoo.
