In February 2020, the storm Sabine swept over Erfurt. The cross on the tower of the Luther Church is damaged. There is a risk of a crash.

And so the symbol of Christianity is removed from the church tower. A situation that lasts two years:

At the beginning of May 2022, something will happen at the Luther Church on Magdeburger Allee.

First a crane is set up...

...and then installed a dome. This not only looks good, it also serves as a holder for the cross:
