On Wednesday afternoon, the police became acquainted with an aggressive shoplifter. The 41-year-old had stolen groceries at Moscower Platz in Erfurt and refused to leave the supermarket. When the police arrived, he tried to hit a police officer in the face. When the man was taken to the ground and handcuffed, he resisted. He also insulted and threatened the officers. The 41-year-old received several criminal charges in addition to a house ban and an expulsion. (JN)
