The Wiesenbach in Erfurt
An inconspicuous Erfurt resident
Stream without water
The Wiesenbach is a real Erfurt. It originates in Erfurt and ends in Erfurt. It always stays away from the actual city and stays true to its name: meadows line its course from the source to the mouth of the Gera.

The fact that quite large amounts of water are often transported by our meadow stream becomes apparent later in Waltersleben.
Dense jungle
Standing here to take a photo is not always advisable:
On the last section between Waltersleben and Möbisburg, a dense jungle has partially formed around the stream.
And that's where our 7-kilometer-long story ends, because that's where the Wiesenbach flows into the Gera.
Conclusion:
The Wiesenbach is an inconspicuous Erfurt river. Most of the time it runs through meadows and fields. Even in the three villages, only the bridges built because of him indicate his existence. The valley through which the Wiesenbach runs is really beautiful and quiet for long stretches. It will probably stay that way: hiking trails, parking spaces and everything that would ensure low-threshold access to the area are missing.
