The Krämerbrückenfest

Every year there is a lot of hustle and bustle in Erfurt

The Krämerbrückenfest is really a blast!

I'm Till Eulenspiegel and I open the Krämerbrückenfest every year. Check out the Krämerbrücke, it's such a cozy bridge that runs through the middle of the city. And every year there is a real celebration there, you can't miss it. There is so much junk and stuff that your eyes light up. There are so many stalls, you'll go crazy. From jewelry to delicacies, from souvenirs to knick-knacks, there is really everything there. But that's not all! There's a great atmosphere, you can't imagine it. Music, dance and culture – that’s really something great! And the people, I tell you, they are so welcoming, you think you're at home. Regardless of whether you come there as a non-Thuringian or as a newcomer, everyone is welcomed there.

And what I can't forget: the fireworks! On Saturday there will be an impressive sky spectacle, it's amazing. You look up and think to yourself, these are the most beautiful colors you've ever seen. I can tell you one thing: the Krämerbrückenfest is a real experience. This is so special because the festival is the heart of Erfurt. It brings people together, it's fun and it's just beautiful. So come along and let the atmosphere surround you - you won't regret it!

Krämerbrückenfest – program 2024

From June 14th to 16th, 2024, Erfurt's old town will once again be transformed into a colorful cultural mile. The 47th Krämerbrückenfest offers a free, varied cultural and entertainment program around the longest inhabited bridge in the world . Familiar and new cultural formats can be discovered in squares and courtyards, from the cathedral square to the Petersberg to the theater forecourt. Many Thuringian and Erfurt cultural actors and partners will be there again.
On Friday at 6:00 p.m., Till Eulenspiegel (stage by the theater “Die Schotte”) traditionally opens Thuringia's largest old town festival. The ensemble plays directly in front of the Krämerbrücke on Benediktsplatz. In the piece "The mysterious number 1325 and its connection to the Krämerbrücke - Till Eulenspiegel's discovery in Erfurt", Till, along with doll carver Martin and intern Pippi, discover a special number.

Details about the program coming soon…
