Employees of the city's road depot took care of the transport and the correct placement in Bernd's usual place next to the town hall. In the last few weeks, Bernd has had minor and major injuries treated, including a hole in his right hand. With a short break, the figure has been available for all photo and cuddle requests since July 2007. In addition to the effects of the weather, this meant that the surface had to be completely reworked.
