To the exhibition

Jan Kobel is a photographer and artist who moved to Thuringia 20 years ago because he fell in love with a decaying industrial area and decided to realize spaces and dreams there. A former glove factory became a hotel, and a dairy farm from the 1920s is another project. For Jan Kobel, this began a years-long examination of vacant industrial culture, which also influenced his artistic work. The exhibition features three large-format works by Jan Kobel, digitally overpainted photographs of demolished industrial areas in Arnstadt, the artist's hometown.
