The Alperstedt Lake
Everything remains different
The Alperstedter See is not only the largest of the Erfurt lakes , it is also the most developed for tourism among the former gravel pits in the north of Erfurt.
Visitors to many other lakes in this area often find themselves on the edge of legality . This starts with parking and continues to be in a gray area afterwards, which is due to the partially incomplete industrial use. Until now, clear rules about what I was allowed to do and what I wasn't only had at the Stotternheim lido: parking in the parking lot and, after paying an entrance fee, the right to swim.
Lake Alperstedt sank into a bit of chaos in terms of Legal, Illegal and Legal 2021.
The highlight was a general ban on swimming on the entire lake.
Just one year later, this short summer of anarchy was history. Anyone who visits the lake notices: A lot has changed and the visit, whatever the purpose, moves along in an orderly manner.
State of affairs at Alperstedter See
We start on the southwest shore and circle the lake to its northeast shore. We don't go to the northwest bank. There is still work in progress:
New campsite
The game changer at Alperstedter See is the “ThürKies” campsite. In addition to the possibility of camping, there is also permission to swim here.
Gastronomy, accommodation – the east bank
Little has changed on the east bank. There are also two restaurants
Northeast shore with beach club
Parking cars will continue to be a problem at Lake Alperstedter. Even if the whole thing is through clear signage
Since 2021 can here
Conclusion:
The Alperstedter See is “professionalizing”. The wild times are over. The diverse offerings on site offer visitors more. However, the whole thing also causes costs…
And that brings us to the topic: Of course, everything used to be better on Lake Alperstedter.
Don't miss anything!
