Routine inspection leads to repair work on the canal
For this reason, renovation work will be carried out on the existing shafts from September 16th.
The canal will then be renovated over a length of approx. 140 m using a pipe lining process. A hose soaked in reaction resin of the same dimension is inserted or pulled into the old pipe, which then reacts and hardens by means of a thermal reaction using warm water or under UV light. The big advantage of this method is the trenchless construction method, in which only the start and target pits have to be prepared for the work and otherwise major civil engineering work can be dispensed with.
