Exciting water polo games on June 8, 2024 in the Roland Matthes swimming pool
The Roland Matthes swimming pool will again be the venue for several water polo games on June 8, 2024. From 2:00 p.m. the U10 teams from the clubs SVV Plauen, OSC Potsdam, SV Zwickau and Erfurter SSC will play a tournament. From 5:00 p.m. the men of the ESSC will play their state league game against SSC-Potsdam II in the 2nd League East. The tournament for the U10 teams will then continue from 6:00 p.m. before the second team from ESSC competes against the second team from SV Halle from 8:30 p.m.
Due to sporting events, public swimming is possible on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The sauna can be used with swimming from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; from 2:00 p.m. sauna without swimming is offered.
The Erfurt water polo players are definitely happy to have spectators. Some interesting rules for water polo: A team consists of seven players including the goalie. Four quarters are played with eight minutes of playing time, with a 2-minute break between each quarter. An attack must be completed within 30 seconds, two timeouts are permitted. There are corner throws as well as free throws and penalty throws from the 5-meter line.
