This year's river bathing day will take place in Erfurt's Nordpark next Saturday, July 13th.

Between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the Geraufer near the “Klärchen” in the Nordpark, in addition to swimming fun, there will be a wide range of hands-on activities and learning modules on the subject of rivers/water protection, exciting information about the river diary and the associated competition, face painting and games give.

The international Big Jump Day, in German-speaking countries: Flussbadetag, has been taking place since 2005. On this day, people all over Europe jump into their rivers and lakes to set an example for water protection. This day is intended to raise awareness of the fact that water as an element must be protected! Our rivers should be in such good condition that we can swim in them. The river bathing day is a free offer from the Erfurt local group of Naturfreunde Thuringia and is aimed at anyone interested. The area is partially wheelchair accessible, but not barrier-free. The event takes place in cooperation with the Erfurt River Office and Blickpunkt Geraaue.
